The JLPT N5 course is designed for complete beginners who want to start their Japanese learning journey. It builds a strong foundation in vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation for everyday communication, while also preparing you for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N5. Join us if you're new to Japanese and eager to embark on a captivating journey from the very beginning, where every lesson is designed to make your learning experience both enjoyable and rewarding.

Course Structure
Our JLPT N5 – Beginner Japanese Course course is structured to provide comprehensive coverage of all exam sections.
Requirements
- No prior knowledge of Japanese required. Students should:
- Have a notebook and pen for writing practice
- Install a Japanese keyboard on phone/PC
- Dedicate 6–8 hours per week for self study
- Be ready to actively participate in class
Instructions
- Attend all live sessions (if missed, watch recordings before attending a new class)
- Come prepared with Hiragana & Katakana with our free course
- Complete weekly assignments and quizzes
- Use flashcards and conversation kits for vocabulary
- Ask doubts actively during sessions
- Attempt mock tests to track progress

- Learn ~100 basic Kanji

- Daily Activities & Routine

- Describing People, Things, and Places

- Basic Sentence Structures: です/ます form, particles (は, が, を, へ, に, で, の, から, まで, と)
- Verbs & Conjugations: Present, Past, Negative, Polite/Casual forms
- Adjectives: i-adjectives & na-adjectives, conjugation rules
- Basic Counters: People, Objects, Animals, etc.
- Simple Questions & Answers (who, what, when, where, how)
- Introductions, self-introduction practice
- Making requests, invitations, and apologies
- Asking for directions, ordering food, shopping related dialogues
- Daily life conversations
- Short dialogues
- Read Hiragana, Katakana, and simple Kanji passages
- Short story comprehension
- Flashcards & conversation kits
- Quizzes after every unit
- Mock JLPT N5 exams to evaluate readiness
Course Objectives & Outcomes
Introduce yourself and greet people confidently in Japanese
Use common phrases for daily communication (shopping, travel, requests, etc.)
Understand and apply basic grammar, verbs, adjectives, and sentence structures
Read and write in Hiragana, Katakana, and basic Kanji (~100 characters)
Develop reading skills for simple sentences and passages
Understand everyday basic conversations in Japanese through listening practice
Be fully prepared to take the JLPT N5 exam
